Sue Goldstein named Outstanding Women in Somerset County
"The 19 women being honored this year represent a cross-section of backgrounds and abilities," said Freeholder Mark Caliguire, commission liaison. "It is our pleasure to recognize them for the many contributions they have made to their communities." The Commission on the Status of Women presents these awards annually in celebration of Women's History Month in March. Honorees are women who live in Somerset County. Recipients by category are:
Arts/Entertainment – Debbie Kirsch of Bernardsville and Nicole D'Angelo of Warren; Athletics/Sports – Christine Schneider of Bridgewater; Business/Management – Carleen Kelly of Bernards; Education – Janet Camargo Wahba of Somerville; Entrepreneur – Diana Kramer, Ph.D., of Bernardsville; Environmental Initiatives – Sherry Frawley of Bernardsville; Government/Public Service – Raritan Borough Councilwoman Stefanie J. Gara and Kathleen O'Brien of Branchburg; Hometown Hero – Allison Caufield of Bridgewater, Joanne Liscovitz of Hillsborough and Patti Sofran-Herrling of Franklin; Law – Susan R. Rubright, Esq., of Gladstone; Medicine/Health Services – Andrea Gaito, M.D., FACR, of Bernards and Barbara Ronca, Ph.D., MSW, LCSW, of Bridgewater; Public Service – Suzann B. Goldstein of Warren; Social Services – Katie Meyler of Bernardsville; and Volunteerism – Barbara Marchio of Gladstone and Nancy Yuzuik of Bound Brook.
This year's program will be held Friday, March 23, at The Imperia at 1714 Easton Ave., Somerset. A cash bar at 6:30 p.m. will be followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person.
