The Valerie Fund Elects New Board Members

Joe Mangione, Chairman of The Valerie Fund board, is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members of The Valerie Fund Board of Trustees effective immediately. The new board members are Mr. Louis Ventura and Mr. Mark Gall.

Mr. Louis Ventura is a Senior Managing Director of the Municipal High Net Worth Group at Bear Stearns & Co. He and his wife volunteered this year as counselors at The Valerie Fund's Camp Happy Times. Louis and his wife have also been active volunteers for more than nine years at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. He and his wife reside in Manhattan.

Mr. Mark Gall is a Senior Vice President of The Weather Channel. Mark joined The Weather Channel in 2003, after a ten-year stint at Tribune Broadcasting where he was the General Sales Manager for WGN Superstation. Along the way, Mark has helped major marketers solve their branding challenges across a wide variety of categories: telecommunications, emerging technology, fast food, financial services, accounting and management consulting, personal care, household products, and film. This past year he was on the executive board for the 1st Annual CAREoke for the Kids. He lives in Summit, New Jersey and has a daughter, Kylie and son, Mark Jr.

The Valerie Fund is supported through corporate and foundation grants, special and community events, individual donations, bequests and direct mail solicitations. The organization is located at 2101 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, NJ.
