Burger King Franchisees and the Have It Your Way Foundation
Host 9th annual Children's Charity Golf Classic to benefit The Valerie Fund
On September 18th in Florham Park, The Burger King Franchisees and the Have It Your Way Foundation sponsored the 9th Annual Children’s Charity Golf Classic. "It was a beautiful day to come out and play golf and raise money for the kids," said Jim Hufnagel co- chair of the event.
This year the event honored Millie Finkel, Volunteer Director of Camp Happy Times. Millie has been the director of Camp Happy Times for the past 15 years. "She’s devoted, willing to do anything for the kids, including bungee-jumping, dressing up as a clown and enduring countless pies being thrown in her face," said Barry Kirschner, executive director of the fund. This year the event earned a record $78,000 and over $500,000 since its inception. These funds will be used to help fund the general operation cost of The Valerie Fund centers.

The Valerie Fund is supported through corporate and foundation grants, special and community events, individual donations, bequests and direct mail solicitations. The organization is located at 2101 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, NJ.
