“Not only do they take care of a child's physical needs, they look after their parents’ emotional needs. They're like family.”
Ronald Festa - father of cured patient Justin and former Chairman of the Board of Trustees, TVF
Our Programs
The Valerie Fund provides comprehensive health care. To us, this means state-of-the-art medical treatment as well as a full slate of non-medicinal programs that envelop and engage all members of the family in a therapeutic environment - everything from running a week-long summer camp program for kids, to hiring the best child development specialists, to providing counseling for children, parents and siblings, to providing family-oriented space within hospitals. We strongly believe that by supporting the families when they need it most, we greatly enhance the quality of life for all, as well as the survival rates of our patients.
Our centers treat more than 5,000 children with cancer and blood disorders each year.
Within our centers, patients have immediate access to inpatient facilities, as well as technologically advanced laboratory and treatment equipment. Medical and emotional support for patients and their families are provided through The Valerie Fund treatment team, which includes:
