No Gift is Too Small
At age three Veda was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. Our family, like many other families, was not prepared for the battle against Cancer. Almost immediately, daily living became unbearable and overwhelming emotionally, mentally and financially. Their mission is one of a wholistic approach of healing the child and aiding the family with difficulties and hardships and all that comes with this battle. Time after time, challenge after challenge, their miraculous ways of making sure Veda was well entertained, amused and laughing was the most amazing of all. I believe this was all the pain medication Veda ever needed. It was only twice in six years Veda needed pain medication. Veda's recovery would have been harder than expected; But, with the Valerie Fund at our side every step of the way, we overcame all obstacles. This organization went above and beyond for the sole purpose of our little Veda! Reaching far beyond their mission statement, came the assurance, the constant care, their giving-way beyond belief and the most awesome love. From the Founders to the Administrators to the Medical Staff to Child Life Specialists to the Social Workers to Camp Happy Times and so much more and from so many more people - we the family soon realized learning to cope was not sufficient but that spiritually we are much more than conquerors. Veda is now nine years old, nearly half way through her second year of remission, happy and thriving each and every day. We deeply appreciate all that The Valerie Fund has done for Veda and our entire family. We are forever grateful to and for our Valerie Fund Family! Please give and encourage your family and your friends and your community to donate to The Valerie Fund! POWER OF LOVE IS IN GIVING Thank you...........Grandma Shellie
