The Valerie Fund Receives Generous Donation from Central School in Warren, NJ

Over $10,300 in donations enthusiastically raised by students,
families and faculty at Central School in Warren, NJ for
The Valerie Fund Walk & JAG Physical Therapy 5K Run,
supporting children with cancer and blood disorders
 

[Maplewood, NJ, May 24, 2011]-  On Saturday, June 11, 2011, The Valerie Fund Walk & JAG Physical Therapy 5K Run will take place in Verona Park. With the help of the students, families and faculty at Central School, over $10,000 in additional donations have been raised for The Valerie Fund. Central School in Warren, NJ is an elementary school, grades Kindergarten to Fifth, with an enrollment of over 350 students. All Central School students, their families, and faculty members were invited to participate in a school-wide walk around the school on Friday, May 20. At the Pep Rally before the school-wide walk, Valerie Fund Founder, Sue Goldstein, and Director of Communications and Special Events, Bunny Flanders, were presented with a vibrant handmade check created by Central School Students, representing total donations in the amount of $10,377.41. The Valerie Fund has a long-standing connection to both Central School and the entire Community of Warren. Ed and Sue Goldstein, Founders of the Valerie Fund, currently reside in Warren.  In addition, two current Valerie Fund Patients are enrolled at Central School- 3rd Grader, Alexa, and 4TH Grader, Sabrina.

 Along with the walk at Central School, additional donations and participation in The Valerie Fund Walk on June 11 were strongly encouraged. Walkers, runners, donors, and sponsors can register for the Walk at www.TheValerieFund.org/walk or by calling The Valerie Fund office at 973-761-0422.
