Running over childhood cancer again!

LOVEJOY DECEMBER 2023: (Even though the official Valerie Fund 5K was already completed in NJ in June, I am hosting a 4x400 competition on December 8, 2023!) Hi! My name is Nick Yarad, and I am 17 years old. When I was in fifth grade, my sister Sylvie was diagnosed with stage IVB Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The Valerie Fund is an organization that supports kids with cancer and was a huge help to our family during our time of crisis. My sister is now healthy and is in her junior year in college at the University of Pittsburgh. She is majoring in English, and I am so proud of how she has persevered through such a major life challenge. This year I am planning my second run in Lucas, Texas, to raise money for the Valerie Fund. Even though we moved away from NJ, I am proud to support the Valerie Fund remotely and include all of my running buddies and friends here in Texas.
